Throughout the week, the workload was steadily low. I helped the Doggo team by creating and providing them with a new camera script that would follow their dog in third person smoothly, as well as having the ability to freely control the direction the camera looked in with their controller. Once they let go of the camera changing stick, the camera would then go back to the starting position. It works really well and I am very happy with it.
I also finally completed the scheduling tool for the Doggo team, to the level I wanted it to be completed. I fixed a bug with name length, where it would say that a single person was ‘All’ if their name was less than or equal to 6 characters (was a leftover from the testing phases with just my name). I also added in a Total Duration feature. It tells you how long your project is expected to take, summing all field durations together. I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner, it seems pretty important for a schedule to have.
We didn’t have the chance to do the spacial partitioning this week, I was hoping to do it this week so that I could finish my flocking program over the weekend, allowing my Boids to no longer fly inside of each other. Hopefully this week coming we get to do it, I don’t like to be rushed, but it seems to be starting to go that way with all the LOs I still haven’t got marked off. I am not fully blaming Ryan for the Programmers not having done Spacial Partitioning yet, but he was away for two lessons in two weeks 😛
I told all the Designer groups individually, that if they need any help over the weekend, to message me as I would be quite happy to help. Not even my own team messaged me, so I spent the weekend working on my CIU assignment. I will say it again tomorrow and if again, no one comes up with anything, I will be once again working on my CIU assignment.
Till next week.
This is Daniel Jochem, signing out.
